Share a card

A small window that does one thing only: give you the address of what you are looking at, with a Copy button.

Where to find it

At the share icon placed next to the code on cards — horse, race, clan, member — and on horses' pictures.

What it is for

Showing something to somebody. Paste the address into a message, on a forum or in the chat: whoever you are talking to will arrive straight on the card, without having to look for it or ask you for a code.

Everyday uses: sending a buyer the horse you are talking about, showing a jockey the race you are aiming at, giving an applicant your clan's card, having a champion's picture admired.

The address goes through the card search page, which knows how to open any type of object. It therefore works just as well in a message as pasted into a browser.

It becomes clickable where you paste it

• In a message in My messages and in a reply in the Forums, paste it as it is: it is displayed as a link, and a click opens the card on the spot, in the right world.
• In the Chats, it is the /url command that makes it clickable.

Only share addresses get this treatment, and on condition that they are pasted whole and untouched: another address, or this one modified, stays as text. That is deliberate — a link to any site at all would be an open door to nasty surprises.
