Change subscription

Moving from one subscription formula to another, by converting the days you have left.

It is the only way of changing formula: the purchase page only lets you extend the one you have. See Buy subscription.

How the conversion is calculated

The window recalls your formula and the number of days left, then offers each other formula with the number of days you would get in it. There is nothing to work out: the figures are displayed.

The principle is the conservation of value, the formulas being weighted by their price — Mini counts for 1, Maxi for 3, Extra for 6, Giga for 9.

  • Moving up a formula shortens the duration: sixty days of Mini Team give about twenty days of Maxi Team.
  • Moving down lengthens it by as much: thirty days of Giga Team give close to nine months of Mini Team.

And in both directions, the conversion costs one day. That is all — there is no other charge, and nothing is lost in the exchange.

When to move up, when to move down

The question comes down to one: how many horses have you got? A subscription only serves to raise the ceiling beyond which upkeep is paid, and to pay out sulkies every day.

Moving up makes sense when your stable is over your ceiling: you are then paying upkeep costs every day, and the end of your subscription is less expensive than those costs. The dashboard signals it to you, in fact, and offers this window.

Moving down makes sense when your stable has shrunk — after a wave of retirements, after some sales — and you are paying for a ceiling you no longer need. You then exchange useless comfort for months of play.

Once confirmed

The change is immediate and final: nothing obliges you to wait for a deadline, but nothing lets you go back without doing another conversion — and therefore without losing another day.

If you have no subscription running, the window has nothing to offer: there are no days to convert.
