A confirmation page, and nothing more: a button to log out, a link to go back if you clicked by accident.

You do not need to stay logged in

That is the point worth making here, because it surprises those who come from other games: Sulkyland goes on without you. Everything under way unfolds on the server, at the time planned, whether you are there or not.

• Your horses are trained every day, according to the programme in place.
• Your entries are run at the stated time, with the preparation saved.
• Your bets are settled and your winnings paid.
• Your sales are concluded, your auctions are decided, your foals are born.

Nothing therefore requires you to be present at the moment of a race. What does require presence is deciding: entering, preparing, testing, answering an offer. An unprepared race will be run all the same, but at random — see riding.

What absence costs, and what it does not

The upkeep costs go on falling each night if your stable is over the allowance. But the game takes account of it: you build up holiday days as you log in, and a day on which you do not come is taken from that credit instead of being charged. A short absence therefore costs nothing; a long one ends up exhausting the credit. See ownership.

Deadlines, for their part, do not wait for you: a reserved purchase expires after seven days, a mating deadline falls on the same day for everybody, a race starts at its hour. That is what to look at on your return, and the Dashboard is made for it.

If you are managing somebody else's account

Logging out ends that co-management session. See co-management.

Nothing to close

Leaving the site without coming through here poses no problem at all: you simply stop appearing in the list of connected players after a few minutes. This page exists only to log you out deliberately — useful on a shared computer, or to take back control of your own account.
