Player card

A player's card. Every username, wherever it appears in the game, leads here — and it is the most useful page in the game when you are about to deal with somebody.

Two tabs at the top

Those two are always in tabs, including if you have set the game to a vertical display: they are two images, and stacking them would bring nothing. See Version 7 options.

Avatar: the image the player has chosen to represent himself.

Colors: his silks, drawn as they will appear in a race. It is by those colors that you recognise his horses in a field and in the viewer, and that is a good reason to look at this tab once for the players you come across often.

The four buttons

  • Horses: his stable, in the role you choose — owner, trainer, jockey or breeder. See A player's horses.
  • Medals: his record.
  • Add a friend, if he is not one already. Nothing is asked of him or signalled to him: see Add a friend.
  • Send a message, which opens the writing window with the recipient already filled in. It is the shortest way to write to somebody.

What the lines say

  • The player's code, with the share icon that gives the address of his card: see Share a card.
  • His username.
  • His clan, clickable through to the clan's card. Two links can be added there: Apply if you have no clan and he has one, Invite if you are a recruiter and he has none. See The clans.
  • The name of his racetrack, if he manages one.
  • His language and his country.
  • Registered since such a date, and his number of logins.

The wallet, and why it does not always appear

A Wallet line gives the player's balance in sulkies — but only between members of the same clan. Between players of different clans, it is not displayed at all.

That is not an oversight: it is the rule, and it comes from the fact that the members of a clan manage a common till and may have to help each other out. Elsewhere, somebody's balance is his business alone.

The two figures to look at before dealing

Registered since and the number of logins, read together, say the essential. An account created three years ago with four thousand logins is a diligent player; the same age with fifty logins is a dormant account.

That is the information that counts before entrusting a horse to a trainer, offering a ride to a jockey, accepting an application to your clan or committing to a private sale: competence can be guessed at, diligence can be measured. An excellent jockey who logs in once a week will not prepare your races.

Complete the picture with the Horses button, which says on what scale he plays, and with the rankings if you want his results.
