Change of world
Sulkyland has three worlds — Almina, Bezir and Chorus — and this page is what you use to move from one to another.
You get here through the menu entry that carries the name of the world you are on: that is the one to click in order to change. In the bar presentation, it is in the little logo menu.
One account, three separate worlds
This is the notion to settle first: a world is not a backup server nor a copy, it is a distinct game. You have another stable there, another wallet, other horses, other races, other opponents.
What is common to all three: your account, your username, your avatar, your friends, your subscription, your clan and the forums. What belongs to each one: your sulkies, your horses, your contracts, your bets, your medals, your statistics — and your clan's wallet, which it has one of per world.
Two practical consequences. Starting on a second world means starting from scratch as far as the stable goes, but not as far as relationships go. And moving sulkies from one world to another is possible, through a transfer taxed at 10%: see Give sulkies.
Chorus does not play by the same rules
Almina and Bezir share the same rules. Chorus has its own, and the gap is a real one: five genetic characteristics instead of four — constitution is added to speed, resistance, suppleness and obedience —, a biorhythm, a maximum training length that grows, a stock of matings to start with, and training that is set in length and in request.
The trainer's trade and the jockey's are therefore not the same there as elsewhere: see training and riding. Changing world means learning part of the game again, which is precisely the interest of the thing.
Reading the four figures on a card
- My sulkies: your balance in that world.
- My horses: the horses you own there — born and not yet retired.
- Active players: those who have logged in there in the last sixty days.
- Connected players: those who are there right now.
The first two tell you where you stand, the last two tell you about the world. And it is those last two to look at before settling somewhere: a busy world has more races, more buyers for your horses, more punters on your events and more interesting odds. A quiet world is easier to dominate, but everything is slower there.
Changing world
The Go to… button on the card, and it is immediate: you stay logged in, you lose nothing, and you can come back just as fast. The world you are on is marked by You are on… in place of the button.
The change shows everywhere: the menu, the tab title and every list switch to the new world. And the screens that carry a World filter — the account statement, the medals, a player's horses — let you look elsewhere without changing world.
