Connected

Who is playing, right now. The menu shows the number at all times, and this page gives the list.

“Connected” means active within the last five minutes. Somebody who has closed their browser therefore drops off the list after that delay, without having to do anything.

Reading a line

  • The username, which leads to the player's card — from where you can write to them, add them as a friend, see their horses.
  • Their clan, clickable through to the clan's card, or none.
  • Their language and their country.
  • The world they are on.

The filters

The username, the clan and the language. The clan filter is the most useful day to day: it answers “is anybody from our lot about?” in one gesture.

What it is for

Finding somebody to talk to. A message left for an absent player will wait for days; the same question put to somebody who is connected finds its answer within the minute. Before writing, look to see whether they are there.

Judging the activity of the moment. The World column says where people are. It is a good indicator before putting a horse up for sale or organising a race: you sell better when there are people about.

Finding somebody who speaks your language. The game is multilingual, and the language filter saves you from writing in French to somebody who does not read it.

Not to be confused with the chat's connected list

Two lists look alike and do not say the same thing. This one counts everybody on the site, whether they are in the chat or not. The chat's one shows only the players who have entered the chat, and gives in addition the room each one is in as well as the discussion actions. See List of the connected and Chats.

In other words: somebody may very well appear here without being reachable in the chat. In that case, write to them through My messages.
