A player's horses
A player's horses. The window opens with the Horses button on a member's card.
Choosing the role
A horse has four people involved, and this list only shows one of them at a time. The Function filter governs which:
- Owner — the setting you arrive on: the horses belonging to him.
- Trainer — the ones he trains, including on behalf of other players.
- Jockey — the ones he rides.
- Breeder — the ones he bred, even if they have passed into other hands since.
It is the same player, and yet four very different lists. A well-known breeder may own almost nothing; a sought-after trainer may have twice as many horses in training as in his own stable.
Reading a line
The horse's name, which leads to its card, its description, its owner and its breeder.
Three categories never appear there: horses not yet born, retired horses, and those belonging to a clan — these last have no player as owner. So it is the stable in activity, not a record.
The filters
Besides the function: the world, the sorting, the speciality, the sex, the age and the name.
The world filter is worth knowing: a player may play on several worlds, and this window takes you there without leaving the card. A player whose stable looks empty is sometimes simply settled elsewhere.
What it is for
Sizing somebody up before dealing with him. Before entrusting a horse to a trainer, offering a ride to a jockey, buying a mating from a breeder or accepting a player into your clan, this list says at a glance what he really does and on what scale.
