The races
This is the world's catalogue of races, the same one as in the other menus. You open it here to look for events for the horses you ride.
The detail of the screen — the columns, the criteria, the quotas, the postponements — is described once and for all in Owner — The races. This page says only what changes for a jockey.
You can enter horses
The Enter button offers you the horses of which you are the owner or the jockey. A horse you ride for somebody else, you can therefore enter yourself, without waiting for its owner.
Two things to know before taking advantage of it.
- The entry fees are debited to the horse's owner, not to you. If their balance does not cover them, the entry fails and the place is given back — it is not a bug, it is their till that is empty.
- The quotas counted are the horse's: the number of entries of its owner, and yours as its jockey. The You column in the list counts your own entries, which can give a different figure when you ride for others.
Entering somebody else's horse therefore means spending their money and using up their quota. Come to an understanding with them first: the horse's card notepad is made for that.
Your jockey's folders
When you arrive through the Jockey menu, the entry window offers you your jockey's folders to filter the list of horses — and not those of owner. It is the real reason for coming in through this menu rather than another: your riding labels are there.
That window keeps a separate filter per role, in fact: the one you set as jockey does not disturb the one you use as owner.
And after the entry
The jockey's work begins there: My races, in this same menu, gathers your entries and gives access to the preparation, and Prepare a race details how a ride is built.
