Delete an automatic race
The confirmation before deleting one or more of your calendars. It recalls their names.
What the deletion carries off, and what it leaves
It carries off the calendar, that is to say the recipe: no more races will be created from it.
It leaves untouched the races it has already created. Those that are open keep their entrants and will take place normally, those that have been run stay on your record. Deleting a calendar therefore cancels nothing and costs nothing.
That distinction is the same one that governs the whole screen: a calendar is not a race. See My calendar.
Prefer the pause
Deletion is final and a calendar has to be typed in again from scratch — a score of settings. Put on pause produces the same immediate effect, that is to say no more creation at all, while keeping the formula warm: see Change status.
So keep deletion for what is really out of date, and the pause for all the rest. A paused calendar bothers nobody and costs nothing to keep.
