Automatic race status

The confirmation before activating or pausing one or more of your calendars. It recalls their names, and its wording changes according to the direction of the operation.

The two directions

Activate puts the calendar back to work: it will resume creating its races at its next due date.

Put on pause stops it without losing anything. The formula is kept, no race is created as long as the calendar stays paused, and the races already created will take place normally.

The operation bears on the whole selection at once, which is handy for suspending an entire meeting while it is being reworked. Calendars already in the status asked for are simply ignored.

The case that brings you here most often

A calendar gone to Deactivated for lack of sulkies. It is the game that set that status, because at the moment of creating its race your balance did not cover the announced winnings. The calendar stopped there and you received a message.

It does not restart of itself, even once your balance is restored: it is up to you to activate it, and that is exactly what this window does. Remember to filter on the Deactivated status in My calendar to find them all at a stroke — it is the first thing to check when one notices that one's races have become scarce.

And before reactivating, look at why the deduction did not go through. If the formula is too costly for your treasury, setting it going again just as it is will make it fall over at the first pass. Automatic mode settles the problem for good: a calendar that puts up none of its winnings cannot fall for want of a balance.
