My horses
This page is your stable: all the horses you own, with what you need to know about each one without having to open its card. If lists, filters and cards are not familiar to you yet, begin with the game interface.
What each line shows
- Horse — its name and its description: age, sex, speciality, and its genetics.
- Trainer — who trains it, and how far its progression has got.
- Jockey — who rides it, and its last test.
- Last race — the result of its last outing.
- Next race — its next entry, if it has one.
If you have written something in a horse's notepad, you see the beginning of it under its line: enough to remind you of your intentions without opening anything.
A click on a horse's name opens its card, which gives all the detail.
Entering a horse in a race
Everything happens in the Next race column, and from this page:
- a free horse offers you to enter it: you then choose the race that suits it;
- a horse already entered lets you prepare the race — give your instructions — or remove the entry if you change your mind.
Finding a horse again
By default, the list shows only your active horses. A foal not yet born and a horse gone into retirement are therefore absent from it: it is the filter's status criterion that makes them appear. If a horse seems to have disappeared, that is almost always where to look first.
The filter also lets you search by name, by trainer's or jockey's name, by speciality, by sex, by age, by genetics, or to keep only the horses whose notepad has something in it. The sorting is set by the first criterion.
The folders
A folder is a label you place on your horses: “for sale”, “broodmares”, “to watch closely”, whatever you like. You choose your own folders, then the filter lets you display one folder at a time.
It is the best tool for finding your way when a stable grows: the day you have forty horses, the full list no longer means much, whereas a handful of well-chosen folders gives you back short, meaningful lists.
Dealing with several horses at once
Tick several horses, and the actions menu above the list offers to:
- modify their folder;
- change their trainer or their jockey;
- remove their entries in coming races.
On a well-filled stable, that is what makes the difference between a few seconds and a long while.
